Dave and Ann DedrickEvangelism and Community Health

Dave and Ann Dedrick went to Mozambique, Africa, as career missionaries with OMS International in March 2007. They work in evangelism, church planting, Bible teaching and humanitarian aid. The Dedricks feel called to develop a community health ministry as a companion to the church-planting ministry of OMS’ Every Community for Christ (ECC) to address the significant community health issues that impact Mozambique.

Dave graduated in 1975 from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor of arts in microbiology. He was called out of a successful 25-year career in the nuclear industry where he had worked in management in the areas of radiation safety and environmental remediation.

Ann graduated in 1975 from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor of arts in biology. She then received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the same university in 1978. She has practiced nursing in the field of community health, public health and maternal/infant-child health.

The Dedricks have been Christians for more than 30 years. They have always been active in their local church and have enjoyed serving God in various capacities. They have taught Sunday school, held leadership roles, helped with vacation Bible school and been involved with evangelism and discipleship. They also took a team from their home church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the Mozambique field

Dave and Ann have been involved in missions in a supportive way their entire married life and now feel called to serve God more fully in missions for the next 20 years, God willing. God has called them to use their life’s experiences, talents, and abilities to further His kingdom in Mozambique. Prior to full time service, they had visited the Mozambique field a number of times as God confirmed their call and also served as MFM prayer champions for Mozambique.

The Dedricks have four daughters: Krista Sepielli (husband Matthew), Sarah, Lynsey and Allison.
